DELTA-A 44-year-old man, Fabian Ojumah, has been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command around Sapele-Benin road, alleged to have carried 420 wraps of weed, likely to be an Indian hemp. This was according to the State Police Public Relations (PPRO) Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who noted that the suspect was caught with a fake Army uniform and van. Her statement reads on Monday, yesterday: “The suspect is not a real army officer. He was caught with 420 wraps of Indian hemp; where he was taking them to is not specified but, investigation is ongoing,”
The fake Soldier, with the weep
Investigation revealed that Mr. Ojumah hails from Abbi in Ndokwa West Local government of Delta State, who presented himself as a Soldier, serving in the Nigerian Army with a rank of a Major until his arrest by the personnel of the Operation Safer Highways’ Patrol team.
However, the suspect fake Military van, had a plate number with NA142- B01, which he used to safeguard the weed. Afrikanwatch gathered Mr. Ojumah will face the full weight of the law.
