In a way to strengthen and promote media partnership and local content development, Afrikanwatch Network Communications Crew, Lagos, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Ethiope East Local government Area of Delta State, Hon (Chief) Augustine Ogedegbe JP, in his office, at the Council headquarters, Isiokolo.
The visit was led by the Editor-in-chief , Mark Orgu, and the Chief Analyst/Strategist of the International news outfit, Engr Isaac Eju, including Daniel Njienue, Afrikanwatch Network Communication’s Delta state correspondent.
According to Orgu, the visit is to establish a working relationship with the council boss, and work with his team on the initiative of promoting local contents, by empowering the youths with innovative mindset and ideas on how to market local contents on digital space that will in turn convert to fiscal values for economic growth and developments.
In his remarks, Hon. Ogedegbe commended the Media outfit for leaving their comfort zone to visit his council:
“I want to thank Afrikanwatch Network Communications, all the way from Lagos state to our local government government. We appreciate your coming and for making us to understand the relevance of media in grassroots governance, in terms of projecting local contents and how it can be converted into economic values for economic growth and development.”
The Council Boss, however stressed that, his administration in line with the governor’s vision is committed to partnership.
“We look forward towards working in synergy with your organisation based on the initiative you have for our people in Ethiope East Local government area, and also see how our people, especially the youths can benefits from your program.”
