There is no need to debate again that Nigeria has over taken the once waned deadly  Iraqi bloody thirty vampires. We are now been compared retrogressively  with Somalia, Sudan, Syria, venuzuela, among other terrorized countries.

How the country got to this dangerous point is what no one can explain but one can explain the  Politics, greed, selfishness, weak political will, and regional bigotry, and the injustice that has led us to this embarrassing situation. We forgot so soon the gangs of  politicians in 2015 that chased out former President Goodluck Jonathan from office after he lost the presidential election to former President Muhammadu Buhari, who left Nigeria worst than the way he met it.

We forgot so soon again the revelation of a former  Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Bareje in 2022, who had said during his 70th birthday celebration in Ilorin, Kwara state, that, the origin of the country’s insecurity could be trace to the inflow of the Fulani helmsmen  from neighboring countries like Sierra Leone, Mali, Senegal, Niger and Chad brought into the country for election purposes in 2015:

“We are not asking the right question on how the same Fulani we have been living with suddenly turned out a menace. We also must ask how they had access to their guns,”

“The security agencies have not been open about the nature of the problem. They have made arrests. Why haven’t they told the public who the terrorists are?” After the election, the Fulani have refused to leave. I and other like minds wrote and warned those we started APC with that this was going to happen but nobody listened,”

Now, the issue is this, was former President Buhari able to deal with these sons of perdition after they used them for the 2015 general election, was he decisive enough against these so called same blood suckers. These questions are begging for answers, even if it is a general knowledge that he did nothing. Buhari’s administration was a tsunami, and no one will pray to have another Buhari again in this country in the presidency.

What Major-General Buhari rtd did with insecurity was allowing of the so called rehabilitation of boko-haram killers into the society through some of the northern state governors who were paying bandits as salary income-earners, and some were alleged to have been engaged into various security outfits, the Police, the Army, the Navy, Immigration, Customs, NCDC, among others. It is alleged that, many of them are now informants to the same bandits and terrorists. How can a country progress with such characters and where in the world do you see government recruiting  harden criminals into intelligence in the name of rehabilitation. The end result today is the worsening insecurity.

The country is indeed in a dark moment, but all hands must be on desk to help president Tinubu surmount it. Many of us thought that, after the abduction of  267 government Secondary School Chibok girls  by Boko-Haram in April 2014 in Borno State, it would have been the last but we have had countless school abductions due to the lack of strategic security survelliance among security agancies.  Recall also, In  July 5 2021, bandits raided the Bethel Baptist School Kaduna and abducted   121 students. They were later released in batches after ransom was allegedly  paid. And then, the fresh school abduction of 280 Kuriga students more than a week now in Kaduna State, they are now demanding One billion naira for their release.

The question is,  how did the bandits escape all the entreaties after the abduction, which root did they take to beat all security strategies-if they have at all, how come there was no security networking, that should have brought about confrontation with the bandits; it shows us clearly how helpless Nigerian citizens are, especially in Northern Nigeria. I think,  heads of security in Kaduna should roll because they have failed woefully.

While the country is crying foul over the Kaduna situation,  16 soldiers killed in Okuama in Ughelli South local government Area of Delta state on a case of two communities clash, where it was reported that the soldiers were invited after receiving a distress call. The security situation in the country has become shameful and more humiliating to the level of hopelessness.  How long is Nigeria going to be used as regular cementary. It is time for President Tinubu to give all the security agencies target to either perform or face sack.
