LAGOS-The Rector of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Engr. (Dr) Ibraheem Abdul and his management team have paid a courtesy call to Mrs. Doja Otedola, former first lady of Lagos State at her residence, Odo Irangushi, Epe, Lagos, during the week. The visit is also part the Rector’s familarisation tour to the Matriarch’s family compound.
Meanwhile, according to Dr. Abdul, the visit is part of the effort to officially inform Mrs. Otedola of the College’s new School of Health Technology at its Epe Campus, which will include health related programmes and nursing courses.
Other advance courses are Center for Open, Distance and Flexible E-Learning and Information Communication Technology (ICT) programs, even as the Rector reiterated his commitment to his earlier agenda of repackaging all academic and skills development programs in the college while expressing gratitude to the Otedola’s family for providing the land where its Epe campus resides free-of-charge and promised that, the college will reciprocate the good gesture.
Mrs. Otedola thanked the Rector and his team while appealing for more developmental projects as a way of giving back to Epe community, and change the employment status of the indigene of Odo-Irangushin working in the College from temporary to permanent staff, even as she wants the College to do the needful by encouraging the youth in Epe to embrace education.
