“If not that Nigeria politicians believe in mediocrity and tribalism, rather than professionalism and proven track records,  personality like Amachree should have been heading the Secret police by  now, but that may just be a dream in disguise. Mr. Amachree can never lobby or beg for political appointment but if called upon, he will be willing to serve again in his father and motherland.”

I have tried to figure out very important life style of Mr. Dennis Abiye Amachree, MON, a retired Assistant Director, Department of State Services, (DSS), having known him since 2016. We first spoke on a telephone conversation while I was serving as a member,  National Youth Corps Service, (NYSC).  That was in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.  For the very first time, he was very accommodating especially as I introduced myself as a young bubbling journalist. On my coming back to Lagos in 2017, he invited me to his office at Ozone Cinema, Saba, Yaba, Lagos  where I also interviewed him.

Same year, Amachree was invited as a guest in our Media outfit’s annual lecture, which he was a  panelist and also award presenter . I am sure, Mr. Amachree, as a renowned security expert must have analysed my person and found out that, am a patriotic Nigerian who is contributing to nation building and decided to accept me unconditionally.
