LAGOS-One of the leading Pan African speakers on the need, to revive and rethink leadership in the Continent of Africa,  Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba has received a lifetime achievement  from Impact Mission Initiative, (IMI), a Non governmental Organisation, based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the founder & director of the Initiative, , Comrade Victor Cletus Mfon disclosed this with Afrikanwatch Network during the week, as he said that, Prof. Lumumba has  contributed immensely in the quest for the true  liberation of the African Continent and society at large, thereby preaching realistic leadership approach and transformation.

The award was presented by the Founder, African Women in Leadership(AWILO), Dr. Elisha Attai to the professor, even as he commended the good work of IMI team in the area of  human capacity building and development. Lumumba further gave the hope that Africa has always been great and will continue to be great as long as leaders begin to take the African Leadership and agenda seriously

It could recall that Professor Lumumba was one of the keynote speakers at the 6th Leadership Conference/Award IMI lecture held in Lagos last year, where he spoke via a video clip.

Prof. PLO Lumumba, a Famous Kenyan,  as captured by Wikipedia served as the Director of the  Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission  from September 2010 to August 2011. Since 2014, Lumumba has been the Director of The Kenya School of Law . A lawyer, Lumumba earned his LL.B and LL.M degrees at the University of Nairobi. His LL.M thesis is titled National Security And Fundamental Rights. Additionally, Lumumba holds a PhD in Laws of the Sea from the University of Ghent in Belgium . Lumumba is a notable  Pan Africanist  and has delivered several speeches alluding to or about African solutions to African problems.

He is a notable admirer of Kwame Nkrumah  , the first president of  Ghana Patrick Lumumba and , Thomas Sankara the assassinated revolutionary leaders of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burkina Faso , respectively. Lumumba has referred to and quoted them several times in his speeches. Lumumba is also remembered for his emotion-laden and energetic speech in Uganda  at the third Anti-Corruption Convention. On August 28, 2015, the PAV Ansah Foundation invited Lumumba to speak at the 2015 PAVA Forum on “Good Governance and tiop, Whither Africa?.
