It was the son of Immortal Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Commodus, who entered Rome in a grand style like a conquered Hero, taking over the reign of power from his father who died in a controversial circumstance. Though, it was alleged that the son killed his father to assume the supremacy of power of Rome. He died a shameful death, unlike the great German leader, Otto Von Bismarck, who after taking over power masterminded the glorious amalgamation of Germany in 1871, and served as the first Chancellor of German Empire until 1890. He was a great leader admired across the world because of his leadership style. In fact, German citizens once chanted, ‘Otto Von Bismarck, reign and live long’.
This is the chant in most part of Orogun Kingdom in honour of Chief (Barr) Benson Ndakara, who has changed the leadership narrative in the whole kingdom. In fact, many social and community analysts have described him as’ Unusual leader ‘ whose shoes may be difficult to size any successor of his, as the next President-General of the Orogun Kingdom.

For instance, Ndakara, who will be finishing his second term very soon bought vehicle to the current Okpara-Uku in Orogun Kingdom, including the late King while alive.
He facilitated some roads construction in the Kingdom, like the Aragba-Eboh road, bought security patrol vans to the Kingdom Vigilant groups, built markets, town hall, residential for members of the National youth Service Corps, Doctors/Nurses quarters for the community’s health care centre, gave scholarship to students across the Kingdom, empowered young people with cash, and to some he gave motor cycles among others.
Under his leadership, the Delta State government recognized Orogun kingdom and presented staff of office to the king with all entitlements. Most importantly, Orogun Kingdom has enjoyed relative peace and harmony.
Orogun Kingdom is in Ughelli North Local government Area of Delta state, with an oil well and good road network, now having a Federal Polytechnic, which the former Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege was instrumental in the establishment. Ndakara, a distinguished philanthropist, law drug case expert and community leader has made indelible mark on the sands of time. No one is in doubt of his ability all this years.
Instructively, affluence, numerous investment, and fact account become relevant only when it is used for the promotion of humanity and the larger society. This has been the motto of Olorogun Ndakara since he received divine providence from the All-Knowing God.
Humble and meek man, committed to societal welfare and development. Barr Ndakara has brought in good will to his community (Aragba-Orogun), like the renovation of the community’s primary and secondary school and provision of borehole water and generator sets by Firstlife Insurance of First bank, through the MD/CEO, Mr. Valentine Ojumah, who also hail from the community. The people now enjoy government presence and empowerment, just as the saying goes, when good men lead, the people enjoy and rejoice’ that is the case of Ndakara.
Barr. Ndakara is an alumnus member of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state where he bagged LLB (Hons) 1984-1988 and later called to the Nigeria Bar. He had his Master’s degree from the Lagos state University. He is the Managing director/chief executive officer of Council-chief Benson Ndakara and Co. Ndakara is a member of Nigeria Bar association.
His good deeds earn him awards commendations across board. For instance in 2019, he was awarded Philanthropist of the year by Afrikanwatch Network, and by 2022, Ndakara became a National Grand Mentor of Afrikanwatch and was also inducted into Hall of fame.
We have no doubt that Ndakara has joined the legendary names of late Chief Demas Akpore, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Lucky Omoru JP, among other Orogun sons and daughters who have earned good names.
