YABATECH-Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) recently organized a Leadership and Skills Acquisition Seminar for its final year students which comprises of ND 2 & HND 2 students, designed to adequately prepare them for future challenges and positive impact in the society.
During the workshop titled “The Person of the Leader and People Skill”organized by the Students’ Affairs Unit in collaboration with Grace Johnson Institute for Developing Leaders, the Rector of the College, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe, in his address said that the programme would not have come at a more appropriate time than now, when many youths have not been able to discover their potentials.

Omokungbe reiterated further, noting that the College management recognize the importance of youth development and its great impact in the society like ours, hence the they to be guided and support to succeed.
“The College has created enabling environment for leadership development and skill acquisition training for our students because, it is important to get the youths prepared and involved in the things that will shapened their lives and the society in future”.
“A good leader must be able to influence his environment positively, as a product of Yaba the great who has acquired leadership and academic training, you must distinguished yourself in excellence stride, wherever you find yourself.” He stressed.
The founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grace Johnson Centre for Developing Leaders, Mrs. Grace Oby Johnson was the keynote speaker during the seminar, and she spoke extensively on tips of becoming a good leader, and significance of skills acquisition.
