What seems to be surprising to many is the sudden protest led by the Nigerian hip pop jaga jaga Star, Eedris Abdulkareem, as he and some protesters besieged, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, in Lagos, requesting one of the most Respected Pentecostal General Overseers, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye to speak up against injustice in the country rather than keep mute.

The protesters wonder why Pastor Adeboye has not spoken against injustice and killing of Christians, even when some religious leaders have incessantly done so. Meanwhile, an inscription in the banners, asked the respected GO to speak up against what they call “persecution of some Nigerians by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

The group continue, by reading a verses in the scripture, and asked Pastor Adeboye if he would have kept mute -if the Christian school girl still in terrorist Boko Haram’s captivity, Leah Sharibu, were his own biological daughter. “How come He speaks not against Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s actions and the killing of Christians, “Is Osinbajo not a pastor in his church, there are a lot to this silent”, the group alleged.
They also wonder why Pastor Adeboye has dissociation himself from a prophesy of “islamization of Nigeria.” and asked the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, to suspend Pastor Adeboye for what they described as his complicity on the matter by “shielding vice President Yemi Osinbajo who is a Pastor in the Redeem Church.”
