DELTA-In a press release to Afrikanwatch Network by the Delta State All Progressive Congress Publicity Secretary, Sylvester Imonina on Saturday, berated the People Democratic Party, (PDP) in the state, noting that the party has resolved to using men like Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, whose records overtime centres on blackmail and falsehood. The statement reads:
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress, Delta State has been drawn to a purported Press Release credited to one Dr. Ifeanyi M. Osuoza, a man whose second name is; arrogance, pomposity and falsehood. In the said Press Release wherein he referred to Delta APC as “A Confused Bunch of Unserious People” Yes, his uncultured nature has always manifested without shame or restraint! It sadden my heart that Osuoza, who should ordinarily understand that even in politics, respect and honour is paramount for posterity sake, including character. Unfortunately, Osuoza lacks the above qualities while he resolved to achieving crayfish popularity and dance to his paymasters”
‘In the said Press Release, Osuoza alleged that his partners in progress who are on their way out of Delta APC referred to Sylvester Imonina, Esq., the State Publicity Secretary of the Party as an “impostor”. Relying on a statement issued by one Felix Okpako, a misguided element whose membership of Delta APC is in doubt, considering his antecedents! For the purpose of educating Osuoza and PDP , it should be known to him that prior to 2019 general elections and after the elections, nobody within or without Delta APC including the paymasters of the said Felix Okpako questioned the locus standi of Sylvester Imonina, Esq. in his capacity as the State Publicity Secretary of the Party. It was after Sylvester Imonina, Esq. refused to accept monetary inducement for the purpose of impeaching the State Chairman of the Party, Prophet Jones Ode Erue that the political jokers and their allies in PDP started singing discordant tunes of Sylvester Imonina, Esq, trying to fabricate lies and get public sympathy’
“To further educate Osuoza/PDP and their likes, it should be known to them that the former Publicity Secretaries of Delta APC before Sylvester Imonina, Esq. took over were/are from Isoko North LGA in Delta State. Meanwhile, during the run up to the 2018 Congresses of the Party, the National Leadership of the Party’s position was that the status quo should remain. That is, wherever any position is zoned to before 2018 Congresses, the position should remain there. Hence, the leadership of the Party in Isoko Nation gave Sylvester Imonina, Esq. the back up to ascend to the present position he occupies as the State Publicity Secretary. It is therefore laughable for PDP and his cronies in Delta APC to suggest that Sylvester Imonina, Esq. is an impostor.”
“On the issue of financial malfeasance purportedly raised against the State Chairman, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, a man who enjoys tremendous grace of God, and Sir Theodore Ezonfade by emmisaries of rift in Delta APC. Delta PDP and their likes should be educated that APC as a party never through the State Auditor of the Party nor any external Auditor(s) audited the Party State’s account. Nobody whatsoever was authorised by the Party to audit the account of the Party. It is therefore shocking and preposterous for anyone, including Delta PDP and here secret allies in Delta APC to throw mould on the good name of Prophet Jones Ode Erue and Sir Theodore Ezonfade! We therefore posit that whatever is being hawk in the social media space and other media outlets is lie from the pit of hell”
“On the description of APC as a Confused Bunch of Unserious People, it is laughable that, rather than the PDP in the state to deal with issues and provide good governance, they resolve to calling names, diverting attention while secretly awarding contracts that will not be done. PDP are synonymous in diverting attention and very unseriousness and confused people. To buttress our point, the position of the State Chairman of PDP that was zoned to Sapele, PDP impostors unilaterally took it away and gave it to a man from Ethiope East LGA because of the ulterior motives of the “General Lisimo” of Delta PDP. We are aware of the fact that persons were harassed, molested and threatened with grievous bodily harm, if they dare opposed the cabal in Delta PDP. Though, the political rumbles in Delta PDP is presently in high gear.
“It is shameful that when the Government of Delta State, and PDP is criticized for maladministration in the State, Osuoza and PDP political lackeys are quick to name calling/issuing Press Releases. Unfortunately, when it comes to the welfare of Deltans, they turn blind eyes to same! Because Delta PDP is an Amalgam of political jobbers, the State Governor can afford to corner over 600 Million Naira as security vote on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, cultism and other forms of violent crimes are on the increase in the State without the PDP led Government condemning same and or taking concrete steps towards taming same with the humongous amount of monies”
“Delta State have been turned to a Fiefdom where the Governor sense of nepotism smells to high heaven. While his daughter is an SSA with a budget of over #300M, his wife through her pet project is rolling in millions of Naira in different denominations. On the other hand, his siblings and relations smile to the Banks every time, while Deltans wallow in abject poverty. Funny but painful enough, the political appointees of the Governor whose salaries were reduced by 25% do not have impress to run their offices for the past three months. Without Delta APC crying for the appointees, we state that the only lives that matter to the Governor is the lives of his family members and his close allies. What a Government! Despite the distractions, harassment, intimidation, and confusion that Delta PDP is trying to orchestrate in Delta APC, the Party will not waiver in her avowed decision in calling a spade a space and galvanizing Deltans to ask for their legitimate rights”
