YABA-Fresh Foundation Project under a  Non-Governmental Organisation, JAKIN held her graduation ceremony recent in Lagos. The foundation which started in  2013 has so far empowered over 1000 indigent youths who are out of school in remote areas of  Lagos State, as   Access bank/Aspire coronation trust (ACT) Foundation has remained resolute in the sponsorship.Meanwhile, the project has directly contributed to curbing social vices of the youths with three months basic business management principles, life building skills, Vocational skills, leadership and financial literacy training. One of the beneficiaries of the foundation, Miss. Grace Awoyemi, had expressed gratitude as the project has made her  a better version of herself. “I  thought to quit the programme because of low self-esteem, but the business management classes, life building and leadership class made me see that I can be a better version of myself and can do great things.” She stated.

On his part, Mr. Samuel Igah,  ACT Foundation monitoring and evaluation unit lead has hail Jakin, stressing that, the NGO has remained resolute in its support of local, national and regional non–profit organisations, working towards addressing challenges associated with vulnerabilities across the African Continent. The Foundation’s impact continues to touch lives in all 36 states of the Nigerian federation and eight other countries in Africa, benefiting over two million people across the continent. And jakin NGO has given us reasons to grant them our support.  Board Chairman of Jakin NGO, Mr. Seun Wright while congratulating graduands, charged them to employ the experience and knowledge acquired during the training for their further education, even as he wants them to be  more focused and plan for better future.

The Guest speaker Mr Bamidele Ojo, who is the cofounder of a Mauritius Based Investment Services firm adviced graduands to have a right mindset.In his statement:“Our mindset in life should not be about where we are coming from,nor where you grew up in. Our mind can determine who you will become and what jakin has done was too work on your mind.The NGO has nurtured your potential and has given you a wonderful foundation for you to become greater people.” He charged  the graduands to keep growing and remain dedicated to the ir dream. Guests at the event include representative of education district director, Mr. Abidoun, the Principal of Herber Macaulay girls senior high, Mrs Akindele, Representative from the Man O War, and others. Gifts and award were presented to some of the Students who stood out by the Organisation, Miss Helen Udoma wining overall best among her peers. Partners who have sponsored the FFP so far include,  Aspire Coronation Trusts (Act) foundation, Ace UK, DHL Express,the inner heart group – an employee initiative of Oz cussons, Nigeria PLC, Holla jobs,FCMB woman and Imara Foundation.

Sam Igiebor, is the Online special editor, who has managed the branding of the news outfit since 2015. He is also an advanced cinematographer with track records of excellence and service delivery. Innocent Samuel, is the Deputy online Editor, maintaining the site of the media outfit and providing technical support on the site. He is a trained computer expert with a certified certificate on cyber security abroad. Chidera Eke, is the acting head, News/Strategic Communications, a very committed and intelligent young lady with patriotic gesture to task and duty. Richard Ibu, is the Afrikanwatch administrative head of planning and execution, Sunny Atam, is the Afrikanwatch senior Consultant on new Media development and strategies, Ifeoma Njoga, is the administrative secretary, whose prowess has continued to give the news outfit commendations. Barr. Festus Ejike Nwafor, is the Abuja consultant and Deputy legal adviser while Mr. Gbenga Ojo is the Abuja correspondent. Mr. Seun Shode is the head, Design and printing, whose skills has remained a reference point in most of Afrikanwatch publications and jobs.
