A Non-Governmental Organisation, JAKIN located at the outskirt of Lagos State has giving out the sum of five million naira to grass root women as a means of supporting their businesses this period. In a short information released by the President of the Organisation, Mrs. Olubukola Adebiyi to Afrikanwatch , she noted that, the empowerment became necessary looking at the season and the need to give aid to petty businesswomen within Lagos Mainland and Shomolu. According to her, the NGO had waited for such day to come
“We waited patiently for over 3 weeks till today to identify, select & put a smile on the face of the last grassroot woman to benefit from the November 2021 last batch disbursement of JAKIN N.G.O Business Scale Up Project micro credit 3 months refundable grant. With the help of our commited and dependable individual partners, N5,000,000 naira was disbursed to 214 grassroot women majorly in Lagos Mainland and Somolu LGAs. 9 women received N40k each, 54 received N30k each while 151 received N20k to boost the businesses. The disbursement was just on time for them to ingest more funds into their businesses ahead of the festive season. Thank you JAKIN N.G.O partners. You are reason for the smile”
