LAGOS-In a way to strengthen and create youth innovation and creativity while promoting self-reliance is one of the purposes of the training. In this regard, Afrikanwatch Network, a Lagos based News outfit deemed it fit to collaborate with one of the Deputy Senate President Aides, Mark C. Orgu, a young promising astute journalist, to train 65 young undergraduates and graduates under the ages of 18-35 years.
In a press release by the Media outfit through its Coordinator, Angel James, maintains that, the aim is to help youths from those areas to see wider opportunities in the media, especially the use of social media to make wealth, while also portraying the danger of misusing it. The four Communities whose youths will participate include, Urhomuru, Aragba, Eboh, and Emonu in Orogun Kingdom, under Ughelli North Local government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. They will be selected randomly. The theme for the training is “Opportunities in the Local and Global Media”. Focusing on: Use of Social, Digital and Print Media, which is scheduled to hold on December 23/24, 2020 in Aragba-Orogun.
