The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, who was a former Commissioner for Urban Renewal in the state, Rt. Hon. Barr. Arthur Akpowowo marks 54 years today.

Meanwhile, Chief Adviser to the Governor of the  State, Olorogun (Sen) Ighoyota Amori, has congratulated the lawmaker.  describing him as a steadfast democrat and a dependable pillar in the state’s legislative leadership.

Senator Amori in a statement by his Public Relations Officer,  Joelson Wilson, praised Akpowowo’s passion for service, political maturity and consistent contributions to the growth of Delta State and the success of the 8th Assembly.

“On behalf of my family and associates, I heartily congratulate my dear brother and friend, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, on the occasion of his birthday. “You have distinguished yourself as a committed legislator, a loyal party man, and a bridge-builder whose leadership, insight and comradeship continue to enrich our legislative process and strengthen our democracy.”

Amori further chronicled Akpowowo’s remarkable political journey; having served as State Youth Leader of the PDP, Special Adviser, Commissioner for Urban Renewal and now Deputy Speaker; describing it as a testament to his capacity, resilience and dedication to public service.

“Your partnership with the Speaker has added great value to the House, and your contributions have helped to advance legislative excellence in Delta State. I pray for continued good health, greater wisdom and many more fruitful years of service to our dear state and humanity,”.

Chief Amori wished the celebrant a joyful celebration and renewed strength for higher responsibilities in the service of Delta State
