DELTA-A socio-political organization, “APC VANGUARD, South-South”, has expressed satisfaction over the leadership of the Senate President and his deputy, Senators, Ahmed Lawan and Ovie Omo-Agege, noting that since they emerged as leaders in the upper chamber, things have beginning to change for Nigerians. The group also extended their warm congratulatory to both leaders and particularly hail the Deputy Senate President,  Omo-Agege for finding Dr. Otive Igbuzor worthy as his Chief of staff.

In a press release by the National Coordinator and Convener of the group, Comrade Mamus Degreat Ejeba, a social and political commentator, made available to press through the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Hon. Mark Darigo Odedede yesterday in Asaba, described the victory of the Senate President and his deputy in the 9th Assembly as victory for democracy and lover of good governance. It also added that the appointment of Dr. Otive Igbuzor is a round peg in a round hole. It could be recalled that Dr. Igbuzor who is the Executive Director of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) and also an activist has been in the fore-front of championing and advocating quality leadership in the country for years. “We heartily congratulate Senators Ahmed Lawan and Ovie Omo-Agege on their elections as President of the Senate and Deputy Senate President respectively. No doubt, members of the 9th Senate have proven beyond reasonable doubt that they are ready for a senate leadership that would collaborate with the President to enthrone good governance in Nigeria”

However, the group further hail  Dr. Otive Igbuzor’s appointment as Chief of Staff to the deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.  “Here, we have an astute human resource manager, a policy expert and a seasoned technocrat appointed to man such a vital office. This is a sign of good things to come in Nigeria. As an advocate of good leadership and democrat, we believe that you will prove your equals wrong and make indelible mark on the sands of time while building more human capacity and youth empowerment in our region”.

The group which had been in the forefront of the campaign for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in the Niger Delta also congratulates Senator Ahmed Lawan, urging the leaders of the All Progressives Congress in government to deliver the NEXT LEVEL agenda of the party to the Nigerian people who have overwhelmingly voted them in good time.
