A famous Security Organisation, ‘Security Watch Africa’ has nominated Amb. Chief Nzeribe Okegbue PhD., Chairman/Chief Executive officer, Combatant Guards Limited for its 18th Africa Security Watch Awards and conference that will hold on December 10-12, 2024 in Doha, Qatar.

In a letter jointly signed by its International Coordinator/CEO, Patrick Agbambu and Prof. Henri Fouche, Chair, International Awards Panel of Judges, said that Dr. Okegbue has paid his dues in the security sector, thereby, found worthy to receive the prestigious award, titled: Gold Star Award for Security and safety in Nigeria. 

In another development, a popular Eastern Broadcasting Station, Rapid Broadcasting Network limited (RBN) has also nominated the Ambassador, for his philanthropist gestures and community service to the nation through the NZERIBE OKEGBUE FOUNDATION, including providing security strategies towards combating crimes.

In a letter dated November 11, 2024 from the Broadcast House, signed by its General Manager, Sunny Ohanyere, reads in parts:

“On behalf of the management of Rapid Broadcasting Network Limited (RBN), owners and operators of Rapid 96.5 FM, Umuahia and Rapid Television (StarTimes Channel 176), we are honoured to officially inform you of your nomination for the prestigious Rapid Personality of the year Award (RAPOY) for 2024. This esteemed recognition is a testament to your exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to philanthropy, community service, and advocacy in addressing critical social issues.”

“As the founder of the Nzeribe Okegbue Foundation, you have been a driving force behind several impactful initiatives aimed at improving the lives of individuals and communities in Ikwuano local government area”

Other key areas cited in the letter by AfrikanWatch Network on why Dr. Okegbue was selected is his Foundation’s campaign on ‘Back to School’ Packages and scholarship grants to hundreds of students in Ikwuano LGA, including empowerment of young people on technical skills. RBN further noted that Amb. Okegbue has shown statesmanship and leadership’s capacity geared towards the advancement of humanity and nation building.
