LAGOS–The management and Crew of Afrikanwatch Network Communications, a publishing media outfit, based in Lagos has appointed a foremost philanthropist, and security expert, Amb. Chief (Dr) Nzeribe Okegbue, JP, the Managing Director/Chief Executive officer, Combatant Guards limited, as Chairman, Afrikanwatch Advisory Council (AAC), alongside other eminent Nigerians, who have aided the media outfit for years; they include, Mr. Dennis Amachree, Ex-DSS director, Prof. Solomon Akinboye, former Dean, School of Postgraduate studies, University of Lagos, Prof. Andrew Obafemi, former President, Nigerian Cartographic Association (NCA), University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Dr. Kabir Adamu, Managing Director, Beacon Consulting limited, Abuja, Engr. (Dr) Felicia Agubata, Vice President, Corporate Service board, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and Dr. (Mrs) Obiageli Modebelu, University of Lagos, who was formerly, the technical adviser to the media outfit.
Meanwhile, Chidera Eke, head of News, strategy/Communications is the Secretary of the council. In a statement released by the management of the news outfit, through its President and Editor-in-Chief, Mark Orgu, said, that the choices of these Nigerians is as a result of their consistent promotion and support given to the news outfit for years, irrespective of their busy schedules. He therefore congratulate them while believing, with their experience and exposures, they will assist the media outfit to grow better especially in the area of expansion and human capacity building while providing opportunities.
