Senator  Adefuye with Afrikanwatch Crew

The Session witnessed huge success, as astute Nigerians related the huge potential of youths and why the older generation must give way to the 21st century youths.  This was according to distinguished Nigerians featured on the interaction separately, they include, Col. Abayomi Dare retd, former Army legal director, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Dennis Amachree, MON, a retired Assistant Director of the Department of State Security, (DSS) and Engr. Femi Omokungbe, Rector, Yaba College of Technology.

Col. Dare  retd with Afrikanwatch Crew

While speaking, Colonel Dare noted the struggle he went through as a young soldier, and the betrayal of trust against his personality, thereby denying him outrightly a position of Brigadier-General. For him, the journey to the top is not an easy road, as enemies will always be there to put stumbling blocks but God will always stand for the just. The former Director of the Army legal services took the Army to Court for good four years when he was jealously and enviously retired for no good reason. His message to the youth is so simple. Here he comes: ‘Having a degree may not necessarily give us success but having none shuts the door of success” This aphorism soaked deeply into the minds of the youths with brevity and smile, having realized the magnitude education can provide.

For Senator Adefuye, the youths have what it takes to lead this great country to its full potential, stating however, that , only a dedicated and visionary youth can attain his or her goal, as success does not come by illusion but by hard work and sincerity of purpose.

Mr. Amachree, MON

Corroborating the above statement is Amachree, who believed that the current   Nigerian leaders will soon fake away and young ones will reign, reiterating the great talents of Nigerian youths and how they should plan to take over the mantle of leadership. Stressing that, great determination and focused life style is the key to success-discouraging fast way to make wealth, but relying on industriousness.

L-R, Yabatech Rector, Omokungbe  (3rd)

On his part, Omokungbe stated, nothing comes easily like that, one have to struggle for it, even the so called leadership the youth envisaged, they must struggle for it, and nobody will give it to them just like that.  “You must be focused, you must be determined and you must be hard-working, it’s important and you must also be disciplined. When you are disciplined, you will manage your time but when you are not, you can easily be distracted and then, you must brace up for any challenges” he added.
