LAGOS-The Editor-in-Chief, Afrikanwatch Network, Lagos, Mark Orgu, has donated a newly published book for Secondary school teachers by a young educational Consultant, Taiwo Ajinaje, titled, ‘Strategic Approach to Students’ Academic Challenges’ (A Solution Guide for Students, Teachers and Parents).

The book which was presented by the Head of News and Strategic Communications, Chidera Eke on behalf of the Editor to the President, Aragba Secondary School Old Student Association (ASSOSA), Aragba-Orogun in Lagos last week, Mr. Nerius Irikevwie, is to enhance teacher’s productivity towards students prevailing challenges. The School, which was established under the defunct old Bendel state (Edo and Delta), now Delta, is under Ughelli north local government area.
Meanwhile, Mr. Irikevwie has expressed gratitude, describing it as “good gesture”. He also used the medium to highlight some of the activities the association has carried out as a way of improving secondary education and welfare of the students in the community, pin pointing that, the Association continues to promote academic excellence by encouraging and empowering students, while also liaising with the school authority for conducive learning. He disclosed however, that efforts are in place to get more teachers to the 44 –year old school, as it has produced scholars among others.
Mr. Irikevwie, a risk manager, insurance personal and a core marketer however wants Delta State government to prioritize secondary education, as it is the second basis for greater education.
In another development, the author has said that the book is an innovative response to some crude, cruel and casual approaches adopted and applied (especially by teachers and parents/guardians) to addressing students’ academic challenges, as it demystifies academic difficulties among primary and secondary schools’ students/pupils and proffers modern innovative solutions as against any traditional or casual approach. It clearly identifies various causes of academic challenges, their diagnoses or investigative methods, and squarely delineates their specific solutions.
