LAGOS-As Liberia’s presidential election holds next year, the Unity Party of Liberia (UPL) Presidential hopeful, Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai , a former Minister of Agriculture and Vice President of the country, has accused President George Weah of pushing the country backward and made it a failed state, as he, (Boakai) is in the race to rescue the situation. Boakai, who spoke on ARISE TV morning show earlier today stated however that Liberia under the current administration now rule with impunity, as he warns: “We cannot continue to risk the future of the young generation, we need to rescue Liberia”
The former VP, further criticised Weah’s policy while stating how Liberians have suffered, and need change of government, even as he said that, if elected as President, he will probe the action of Weah’s administration. “ I don’t talk about people, I talk about their action, and Weah’s actions in government is what I will review. The former Minister stressed however, that he will create jobs, restore confidence, and use agriculture to strengthen the country’s economy while ensuring good road network, quality education, and rural-urban opportunities.
