A Nigerian-Canadian based Professor of medicine and family health, Rukevwe Ugwumba while on ARISE TV Morning show earlier today, monitored by our correspondent has said that Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, the APC governorship Candidate in Delta State, who is the Senate Deputy President will bring  a lots  of development and his government will do things differently if elected governor , as everyone is fed up with the PDP in the State.

The professor also berated the state governor and PDP Vice presidential candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, stating that he (Okowa) betrayed his fellow southern governors to become Atiku’s running mate:

”So, I’m sure you know that the Delta State governor put himself on the ticket in a very controversial way as a Vice Presidential candidate in a rotational style”

Ugwumba noted that Omo-Agege is an experienced politician who will turn the misfortune of the state to fortune, citing various achievements of the Delta born senator, stating that, even as a senator, his various accomplishment remains unbeatable, while highlighting his various political experience  journey since 2007 till date. She said, Deltans are really fed up with the Okowa-led PDP government, with so much debt and borrowing. “ I’m sure you know that between our revenues- Internal Revenue, from integration, including loans is about N4.2 trillion  naira in Delta State coffers, whereas,  this absolutely has nothing to show in terms of infrastructural development, job creation when compare and contrast with  River State in the area of meaningful development,  which is actually receiving less money than Delta”

Prof. Ugwumba

The Professor of medicine and family health stressed however that, Deltans are very tired up with the score of the PDP and a lot of the PDP have actually crossed over to join the APC and so she  fancy the chances because  APC has a better candidate.

“We have better candidates across board and Deltans are more wiser. Speaking on the plan of Omo-Agege, Ugwumba briefly explained that the APC governorship candidate’s  manifesto with 60-page document called ‘The Edge Agenda’,  a real 4- broad agenda is an edge to build a new delta. “This is what we’re calling it as it is narrow down to empowerment, development, good governance and enduring peace security. That was the best one you can image”.

Ugwumba  expressed her displeasure, noting the vast resources of the state, saying, Delta is a rich state and the governor keeps borrowing so much money, even as more money comes into the state coffer, that is why Okowa wants the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the PDP governorship candidate to continue his third term. Now tell me, how can someone with questionable educational background be thinking to govern a state like ours  , no. Prof. Ogwumba also lauds Omo-Agege’s achievement and and his enviable profile, believing that he will create greater opportunity and revive the state’s economy.
